1 lb | ground turkey, 93% lean, 7% fat | |
1 | medium onion, chopped | |
1 | green bell pepper, chopped | |
28 oz | tomatoes, red, ripe, canned, packed in tomato juice | |
29 oz | kidney beans, canned, drained, and rinsed | |
8 oz | tomato sauce, canned | |
2 tsp | black pepper | |
1 | package chili seasoning mix | |
2 tbsp | olive oil | |

- Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add 1 lb of ground turkey into the pan and stir-fry until turkey turns brown.
- Add 1 chopped onion, 1 chopped green bell pepper and stir-fry for 5 minutes.
- Add 28 oz tomatoes, 29 oz kidney beans, 8 oz tomato sauce, 2 tsp black pepper, 1 package chili seasoning mix and stir very well.
- Cover and stew about 20 minutes over low heat.
